Welcome to Blooming Days Therapy: Where Healing Takes Root and Growth is Always in Season.

In every person’s life, there are seasons—times of joy, of uncertainty, of transition, and of deep reflection. At Blooming Days Therapy (BDT), we understand that healing is not linear, and growth doesn’t always come with fanfare. Sometimes, it comes quietly—like the first signs of spring after a long, silent winter. And just like flowers bloom at their own pace, so too do we.

That’s why we created Blooming Days Therapy: a virtual mental health practice that meets people where they are—whether they’re navigating trauma, confronting anxiety, exploring identity, or simply trying to make sense of their lives. We’re here to support that journey with compassion, cultural sensitivity, and clinically grounded care.

Who We Are

Blooming Days Therapy is led by Kumbe Anabelle Hwang, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker with years of experience working with individuals navigating complex emotional terrain. Kumbe brings a unique lens to the work—rooted in personal experience as a transracial adoptee and shaped by years of providing trauma-informed care to clients of diverse backgrounds.

Our team provides individual therapy for adults seeking support for:

- Trauma & Complex PTSD

- Mood Disorders (Depression, Bipolar Disorder, etc.)**

- Anxiety

- Self-Esteem & Identity Issues

- Life Transitions & Relationship Challenges

- Attachment Wounds and Intergenerational Healing

We also offer specialized support adults in corporate spaces who are juggling the pressures of high-functioning roles while quietly struggling with their own emotional and mental load.

Why Blooming Days Therapy

The name “Blooming Days” speaks to our philosophy. Healing doesn’t happen all at once. There are rainy days, quiet days, slow days, and breakthrough days. Each of them holds value. At BDT, we don’t rush your process—we honor it.

“Blooming” isn’t about being perfect. It’s about growth, intention, and nurturing parts of ourselves that may have long been buried. Whether you're working through trauma, experiencing burnout, or feeling emotionally stuck, we see therapy as a garden space—a protected, secure container for tending to what matters most.

Our Approach

At Blooming Days Therapy, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. You are a whole person with unique experiences, cultural influences, and internal strengths. That’s why we tailor our therapeutic approach to meet your specific needs.

Our work is grounded in:

- Trauma-Informed Care: We understand the deep impact trauma has on the body and mind. Whether you’ve experienced childhood trauma, religious trauma, racial trauma, or generational trauma, we create a space where your nervous system can begin to exhale. We approach with gentleness, pacing, and consent.

- Attachment & Relational Therapy: Many of our challenges stem from early relationships or attachment wounds. We explore how those early patterns show up in your current relationships—with others and with yourself—and work to create new, healthier ways of connecting.

- Culturally Responsive Practice: As a practice led by a clinician of color, we center the lived experiences of BIPOC clients, adoptees, immigrants, and individuals navigating cultural dissonance. You shouldn’t have to explain the nuances of your identity to feel understood. We get it.

- Strengths-Based Collaboration: Therapy is not about fixing you. It’s about working with the strengths and resilience you already have, even if you can’t see them yet. We’re here to reflect those back to you and support your journey at your pace.

Who We Work With

BDT is for people who are emotionally insightful, introspective, and ready to do the work—but may feel overwhelmed, ashamed, or stuck. Many of our clients are:

- High-achieving professionals who appear “put together” on the outside but feel emotionally drained on the inside.

- Adults working through the long shadow of childhood trauma or emotionally immature parenting.

- People in helping professions (therapists, social workers, healthcare providers) who need their own space to unpack what they carry.

- Individuals from marginalized communities who want therapy that doesn’t feel like they have to leave parts of themselves at the door.

- Those in life transitions—career changes, relationship endings, relocations—who need support in re-grounding themselves.

What Sets Us Apart

In a world where therapy can sometimes feel clinical or impersonal, Blooming Days Therapy offers something different: a relational, deeply human space that honors your full self. We combine clinical expertise with emotional intelligence, humor, humility, and honesty.

Here’s what you can expect with us:

- Secure Virtual Therapy: All our sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant platform, making it easy and safe to access care from your home or office.

- No Performative Wellness: We’re not here for toxic positivity or cookie-cutter advice. Therapy at BDT is real, raw, and respectful. We honor the messy parts and celebrate the quiet wins.

- A Therapist Who Understands the Nuance: As someone who lives at the intersection of multiple identities, Kumbe knows that mental health isn’t just about what happens inside of us—but also what happens around us. Systems, relationships, and culture all matter. We see you in context.

- Support That Grows With You: Whether you’re brand-new to therapy or returning after time away, we adapt to your evolving needs. Some seasons are for unpacking; others are for planting new intentions.

- All services are provided in English and/or Korean.

Our Commitment to You

We believe that therapy is not just about healing pain—it’s about reclaiming your story, reconnecting to your inner wisdom, and creating space to thrive.

At Blooming Days Therapy, we are committed to:

- Holding space for the *whole* of who you are—your past, your present, your hopes, your hurt.

- Walking with you through uncertainty, grief, transitions, and transformation.

- Helping you reconnect with your worth, your power, and your vision for your life.

- Always working from a place of integrity, cultural humility, and emotional presence.

We know the hardest part can be reaching out. You don’t have to have the “perfect reason” to start therapy. You don’t have to be in crisis. If something in you is nudging you toward support—listen to it.
